Sysmex Indonesia Strengthens Collaboration in Advancing Laboratory Medicine Amid Evolving National Regulations
Surabaya, September 12, 2026 — As healthcare systems continue to evolve, strengthening national regulations and developing relevant policies are becoming increasingly important to ensure quality, safety, and sustainability in healthcare services. In this changing landscape, laboratory medicine plays a strategic role across the healthcare journey—from disease prevention and diagnosis to the monitoring of acute and chronic conditions.
With the theme “Strengthening National Regulations and Policy Development in an Era of Renewal: The Role of Laboratory Medicine from Prevention to Monitoring Acute and Chronic Diseases,” the scientific event was held on September 10–12, 2026, at Vasa Hotel, Surabaya.
The event brought together healthcare professionals, including Clinical Pathologists and Laboratory Medicine Specialists, General Practitioners and other Medical Specialists, Residents in Clinical Pathology and other specialties, Medical Laboratory Technologists (ATLM), and medical students. The forum provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge, discuss emerging developments, and explore the evolving role of laboratory medicine in supporting healthcare delivery in Indonesia.
Strengthening Collaboration and Innovation in Laboratory Medicine
As part of the event, Sysmex Indonesia participated through a healthcare expo and an Industrial Workshop held on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
The participation provided an opportunity for Sysmex Indonesia to strengthen its relationship with IACC and the Department of Clinical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Airlangga (FK Unair), while engaging directly with healthcare professionals and laboratory stakeholders.
Through its booth activities, Sysmex Indonesia showcased its portfolio and solutions, creating opportunities for meaningful discussions around laboratory needs, operational challenges, and developments in diagnostic technology.
Supporting Quality Management Through HCLAB
One of the key focuses of Sysmex Indonesia’s participation was to broaden awareness of HCLAB (Laboratory Information System) and its role in supporting the implementation of ISO 15189:2022 within medical laboratory quality management systems.
As laboratories continue to pursue higher standards of quality and efficiency, digitalization and information integration can help facilitate more structured workflows, data traceability, and effective laboratory management.
Through the Industrial Workshop, Sysmex Indonesia also provided a platform for knowledge exchange on how laboratory information solutions can support laboratories in addressing evolving regulatory requirements and the growing demands of modern healthcare services.
