News Release

Medan, October 23, 2025PT Sysmex Indonesia (“Sysmex Indonesia”), an in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) company affiliated with Sysmex Corporation (Japan)—one of the global market leaders originating from Asia—officially launched its latest innovation, the UF-1500 Fully Automated Urine Particle Analyzer. This new urine particle analyzer comes in a smaller, more practical design while maintaining high analytical performance.

The launch event was held at Hotel Dyandra Santika, Medan, as part of Sysmex’s commitment to bringing healthcare innovation closer to medical professionals across various regions of Indonesia.

The UF-1500 enables medical professionals to perform urine testing automatically, accurately, and consistently, allowing patient health analysis to be carried out faster, more efficiently, and more hygienically. Developed as a more compact version of the UF-5000 model, the UF-1500 saves about 30% of space while retaining its high precision in urine particle detection. Beyond being an analytical instrument, the UF-1500 is designed to support early detection of chronic kidney disease, differentiate hematuria and glomerulonephritis, identify urinary tract infections (UTI), and distinguish bacterial gram types in urine samples.

The UF-1500 offers the same analytical performance as the larger UF-5000 urine sediment analyzer, despite its smaller capacity. This has been demonstrated in an internationally published clinical study (Practical Laboratory Medicine, 2025), involving 754 patients, showing excellent correlation values. With its compact design, the UF-1500 serves as an ideal solution for hospitals and laboratories in Indonesia seeking to improve both efficiency and the quality of urinalysis testing.

With its smaller footprint and simplified design, the UF-1500 provides an ideal solution for small to medium-sized clinics and laboratories looking to enhance efficiency and urinalysis quality. Integrated with laboratory information systems and part of the UF-Series family developed from the UN-Series line, this instrument reinforces Sysmex’s commitment to delivering modern, efficient, and globally standardized diagnostic solutions.

“We want healthcare technology not only to be advanced, but also accessible to more healthcare facilities across Indonesia,” said Emilani Nababan, President Director of Sysmex Indonesia. “Through this launch in Medan, we hope more medical professionals beyond major cities can experience the benefits of automated, efficient, and accurate urine testing.”

Since introducing its first automated urinalysis system in 1995, Sysmex has been a pioneer in urinalysis automation—helping healthcare facilities worldwide improve efficiency, consistency, and diagnostic quality. Through the UF-1500, Sysmex further strengthens its position as a trusted partner for laboratories in achieving diagnostic excellence that is efficient, precise, and sustainable—demonstrating Sysmex Global’s dedication to delivering high-quality, innovative diagnostic solutions.
